US Open local qualifiers is in the books with a slough of Canadians advancing to sectional qualifying. Local qualifiers took place across the U.S.A from April 30- May 17, while sectional qualifiers start on May 21 in Japan with American sectional qualifiers taking place on June 3rd. This is where participants will compete for a spot to play at the 118th US Open at Shinnecock Hills.

The local Canadian qualifier at Weston Golf and Country Club yielded some familiar faces who are moving on to the sectional qualifiers. The qualifiers were Taylor Pendrith (69), Waterloo Warrior amateur Tyson Turchanski, Stephane Dubois (70) and teaching pro at The National Golf Club, Nick Kenney!
These Canadians will join those already exempt to play in the Sectional Qualifying (PGA Tour pros), in hopes of joining Canadian Adam Hadwin (Top 60 in Official World Golf Rankings) in the 2018 US Open field!
